The Start of "KILLILAN"
KILLILAN was established over 30 years ago with the beautiful breed of Boxers, for almost 20 years I bred and showed this wonderful breed, in total over 40 Champions were bred or owned under this prefix many of them Best In Show winners always being shown by myself and my son Steffan who has made a name for himself as one of Australia's top handlers. My most memorable boxer and one who will forever have a special place in my heart was Ch Phoenix The Taxman "Bodie" my buddy, my soulmate and my shadow for 11 years, an absolutely stunning example of the breed he was top boxer in Tasmania for 5 years and dominated the breed to such an extent that no other male boxer dog was able to title for many years, he was a Multi Best In Show and Royal Best In Show winner and Top Dog amongst All Breeds in Tasmania- an enviable record that still stands and as befits all "greats" of any breed he was retired with his final Best In Show award. Many tears, many years and many champions later although I still passionately love this breed I am now primarily owned by my main breed of Shih Tzus of which in a short time I have bred over 15 chamions including the Multi Best In Show Grand Champion Kililan Spank Me Not "Wilber" and the most beautiful stunning bitch one could imagine in Best In Show winning Grand Champion Killilan I Rock My World "Macy" who tragically left my side whilst in her prime at only 3 years of age, and whose loss I have still not come to terms with, Macy would leave you breathless with her stunning arrogant carriage, beautiful movement and wonderful headpiece along with her bone and substance, something which is so sadly being lost in this wonderful breed. New breeds added to "Killilan" in the last few years which have also been extremely successful are Skye Terriers and Dandie Dinmont Terriers. My current Skye Multi Best In Show and Multi Best In Specialist Show Grand Champion Kerysea Lochie Olochinvar has certainly been a force to be reckoned with since arriving here 5 years ago. Lochie is now retired with nothing left to prove I doubt whether there will ever be another Skye At Killilan having been so spoilt with Ch Santlin Sqizzy Taylor and Gr Ch Kerysea Lochie Of Lochinvar who is all Santlin breeding and the love and support of the Late Maureen Cartledge who was and always will be in my mind the "Queen of Santlin" however the Skye will always hold a special place in my heart and I hope to on my judging appointments be able to find something special to reward The Dandies were an unexpected addition, but on a visit to Melbourne one year I met "HARRY" Aust Grand Champion and American Champion Hobergays Fineus Fogg "Wow" would best describe him what an unbelievable example of this truly wonderful breed - and what an enviable show record this dog has with over 100 Best In Shows in Australia and America , Top Dog amongst All Breeds in America top Dandie ever in the history of the breed, Group winner at Westminster and Group 2 at Crufts, long before all his wins I "fell in love" and just knew I had to have one, well now I have four. I am forever grateful to Dr Emma Greenway for allowing me the pleasure of co-owning this breed and for her friendship and most of all her "Trust".
AND NOW AFTER 10 LONG YEARS THERE IS A BOXER BACK IN THE HOUSE. Oh Lordy Lordy have I missed this breed - and oh dear I have forgotton just how boisterous they can be - Let The Fun Begin. One word for Jagger "STUNNING"
The arrogance and beauty of the Shih Tzu, the aloofness and dignity of the Skye, the naughtiness and out there attitude of the Boxer and the
